View SRDF volume pair details

Symmetrix Remote Data Facility (SRDF) facilitates the data replication from one storage array to another through a storage area network or Internet Protocol (IP) network.

About this task

This procedure explains how to view the SRDF group of an SRDF pair.

Steps

  1. Select the storage system.
  2. Select Data Protection > SRDF Groups .
  3. Select a device group from the list and click SRDF Groups to open the SRDF Pair List view.
  4. On the Local tab, select the pair and click SRDF Groups to open its details view.
  5. Click the number next to SRDF Group to open the Pair SRDF Group view.

    The following properties display:

    Group—SRDF group number

    SRDF Group Label—SRDF group label

Remote SRDF Group—Remote SRDF group ID

    Remote Array—Remote storage system ID

    SRDF Group Flags—SRDF group flags

Volume Count—Number of volumes in the group

Copy Jobs—Maximum number of SRDF copy jobs per SRDF group

Link Limbo (sec)—Number of seconds (0-10) for the storage system to continue checking the local SRDF link status.

    SRDF/A Flags—RDFA Flags:

    (C) Consistency X = Enabled, . = Disabled, - = N/A
    (S) Status A = Active, I = Inactive, - = N/A
    (R) RDFA Mode S = Single-session, M = MSC, - = N/A
    (M) Msc Cleanup C = MSC Cleanup required, - = N/A
    (T) Transmit Idle X = Enabled, . = Disabled, - = N/A
    (D) DSE Status A = Active, I = Inactive, - = N/A
    DSE (A) Autostart X = Enabled, . = Disabled, - = N/A

Minimum Cycle Time—Minimum cycle time (seconds) configured for this session

Session Priority—The priority used to determine which SRDF/A sessions to drop when the cache becomes full. Values range from 1 to 64, with 1 being the highest priority (last to be dropped).

Transmit Idle Time—Indication whether SRDF/A Transmit Idle state is active for the SRDF group.
